“The German Market: Shedding Light on a European Enigma” was the title of the panel discussion at this year’s “Esxence – The Scent of Excellence” in Milan. On April 27, the workshop format was organized to include well-known and knowledgeable panelists from different areas of the business: Kathryn Malley (Lafferty’s; agent); Silvia Schöne (former head of Douglas’ store on Düsseldorf’s Königsallee; beauty retail expert); Alexandra Stricker (Classic Parfums; distributor); and Christian Waas (CW Beratung, Vertrieb und Training; trainer). The discussion with a focus on the German market was the first of its kind at a artistic perfume-fair such as Esxence. After an initial presentation of relevant information about the German market by the organizer, the panel was organized by three different topics: brands, distribution and training, and retail.
